The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed with regard to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration sassa Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance issue developed for intervention experiences a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the sassa status servicing of all consumers and improve use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
